Consumers need to be wary of anyone asking for payment with a gift card. This includes “government” agencies. There are no legitimate government organization that will ask you to pay with a gift card.
If you suspect a scam, contact the gift card seller, the actual business or government organization supposedly asking for money and BBB to ask if you are dealing with a scammer.
Keep all information related to your purchase in case you are scammed because some retailers may require that information for refunds.

Large tiger shark spotted swimming through surf break at Ala Moana Courts

A new shark advisory has been issued at Ala Moana Beach Park after a large tiger shark was seen swimming through the area.
The non-aggressive 10-foot-long tiger shark was spotted swimming through the surf break at Ala Moana Courts. No attacks or injuries have been reported.

KALAKAUA FESTIVAL

Hawaii non-profit The Friends of Kailua High School is sponsoring a 5k and 10k run, along with a one mile walk event for various programs, needs and scholarships at Kailua High School.
The event is set to take place at 7 a.m. Sunday, Nov.5.
Route starts behind Kailua High School, and the run/walk will continue along Enchanted Lake before making it’s way back to the High School.
