Dog rescued after falling off trail at Kuliꞌouꞌou Trail

Honolulu firefighters responded to a 911 call on Saturday afternoon, April 26 for a dog that fell off the trail in ꞌĀina Haina near the ridgeline. Sammie, the black Labrador, was able to get rescued by firefighters once they arrived.
The personnel on scene airlifted Sammie to bring it to a safe landing zone

Flash flood warning expires on Oahu

A flash flood warning has been allowed to expire on the island of Oahu.
The warning had been in effect during the overnight hours Sunday night into Monday
Rain was heavy enough to close Kamehameha Highway in both directions at the Waikane Stream bridge due to flooding. Three vehicles were reported stranded in knee-deep water on the highway.
