Hawai'i Animal Rescue Foundation announces closure at the end of the year

After 13 years, the Hawai’i Animal Rescue Foundation (HARF) announced it will be closing down at the end of the year.
"It was an incredibly difficult decision and unfortunately it reflects an increase in economic pressures due to the Maui wildfires," HARF CEO Dawn Pfendler said
After the wildfires, HARF helped bring medical supplies and aid to survivors and their pets.
As displaced families moved into temporary housing, many were not allowed to bring their pets, so HARF took the animals in.
